Captain Brian Clark was born and raised in Orlando, FL and developed a love of boating at an early age with his family and friends. He received AA degree in Teaching from Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA and BA degree in Business Administration from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. He played competitive college soccer and still actively plays in various adult leagues. After college, he entered the corporate world working for American Express and General Motors. After 5 years of climbing the corporate ladder, he decided to turn his love of boating into a career. He began his professional captain career as a parasail captain in St. Thomas, USVI in 1994. He then transitioned from parasailing into charter and tournament sportfishing and eventually cruising on large yachts throughout the world including Florida Keys, Bahamas, Mediterranean(Spain), Bermuda, Caribbean(US & British Virgin Islands) and Northeast US. He has been working as a licensed USCG captain for over 20 years. He is married with two children.


Joshua Clingerman: Mate

Josh was born and raised in St. Augustine, FL. After graduating high school, Josh became an elite Ocean Rescue Lifeguard. He received multiple certifications and recognizable awards such as Emergency Medical Responder, Lifeguard of the year in 2012 and Meritorious Act Award in 2013. Josh then relocated to St. Thomas, USVI where he worked as a mate and snorkel guide on an excursion charter boat. He moved back to Florida in 2013 and knew immediately that a career in yachting was a great choice for him. He enjoys all types of water sports and enthusiastically ensures all guests have a wonderful experience onboard Alter Ego. On his time off, you can find him surfing, diving and enjoying the outdoors.

Alexandra Rain Clark: Stew

Alexandra Rain Clark (AKA, Ali) was born on Valentine’s Day in the small beach town of Deerfield Beach, Florida, exposing her to what is now her love of the ocean through surfing, lifeguarding, and her swim team. She went to private Christian school all her life where she was a cheerleader and athlete, and traveled extensively with her family. She attended and graduated from Palm Beach Floral School and started her wedding floral business; Coastal Blossoms, which has already been published in two magazines. Two years ago, Ali decided to get her STCW to stay close to her love of the water and passion for adventure. She found her niche in working on yachts and the rest is history. Between charters and trips, she models for a nature/underwater photographer and enjoys her south Florida lifestyle with her many friends and family.


Ainsworth was born on a beautiful Mother’s Day, in his grandmother’s kitchen in the town of Trelawny, Jamaica. At a young age he found his passion for cooking through helping his Aunt Daphne prepare traditional family recipes in her restaurant. In his formative years Ainsworth was raised in Connecticut. He received his culinary training at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and received extensive hands on training through working with world renowned Chefs like “Jean George, Michel Nischan” and others. He has worked privately with many celebrities throughout his 20+ years of culinary experience. As he is a U.S. passport holder, Ainsworth also loves to travel the world and found fulfillment in connecting his passion for food and travel though yachting. He gained his STCW95 / Eng1 and found his forte working with the yachting industry. Chef Ainsworth aims for excellence when tantalizing the palates of our private guest as they explore the seas ready for a VIP experience. Off charter, he loves to play tennis, basketball, run, swim, surf, and jet ski for exercise and fun. He resides in New York and enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Jill Richardson: Stew

Jill grew up in the small town of Clarklake, Michigan where she spent her childhood on the lake enjoying fishing, tubing, boating and jet skiing. She was an only child which allowed her family to travel extensively. As a result, she found her passion for travel and adventure. While Jill was in college pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business, she decided to spend her summers in Montauk, New York working at a marina. This is where she was introduced to yachting. After two summers of working for the marina and finally graduating with her degree, she decided to leave her shore based job and enter the yachting world. She has a very outgoing personality with a constant smile. She prides herself on the ability to observe and take action where tasks need to be preformed. Jill is very excited to have you onboard M/Y Alter Ego!

Karly Griffin: Mate/Stew

Karly was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida. After graduating from Riviera Beach Maritime Academy, she moved to Key West, Florida. While living in the Southernmost town of the United States, she graduated with a degree in Marine Environmental Science, became a PADI rescue diver and obtained her OUPV captain license at the young age of 19. By the age of 21, she had acquired her 100 ton master license. She chartered boats for a local water sports company taking guests out daily to share her love and passion of the ocean and its sensational creatures. Karly then acquired her STCW and began working as a stewardess/cook/mate in the world of yachting. Between charters and globetrotting you can find her diving, spearfishing, and surfing.
